I was running a 10K with Adrian and it was one of those days when it seemed like it was going to be a good one. I had a chance to come in under 50 minutes for the first time since I was a lot lot younger. It was going to be close but I thought I could get there. Adrian, of course, finished before me. He crossed the finish line and then turned around, ran back along the course until he found me and ran with me to the end be sure I did me best on the day. That was so Adrian. Friend, coach, mentor. He is deeply missed.
